Last Reds game this season!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this Saturday 4 June will see us perform for the very last time this season at SunCorp stadium. I have spoken with the organisers and we'll likely play on level 5 again. After the game, pizza! If the game is anything like last week we'll have a ball again.

live Brazilian samba jazz & Bossanova tonight!

(understand the the state of origin/handegg is on tonight, but I'm sure most of you enjoy football more, so you won't mind missing it...he he).
Warm up with some live samba jazz & bossanova tonight @ the Glass Bar! 8pm-10pm. free entry.
feat Diego Bezerra (Fortaleza/Brazil) on acoustic guitar, Jason Bell (drums), Bernard Houston (Flute) and maybe a certain Dutch Cavaqo player and percussionist. 'Bom Gosto' roughly translates into 'good taste' for non Brazilian/Portuguese speakers. The all instrumental ensemble, plays music from Brazil's samba, jazz and bossanova greats including Toquinho, João Bosco, Ivan Lins, Caetano Veloso and Jobim. Lead by Diego Feitosa Bezerra's intricate, true school, nylon string acoustic, samba technique re-interpreting the deeper samba, jazz and bossanova music from his homeland.

I've been told it's going to be a blockbuster and they expect a big crowd (only 6,000 tickets left 2 days ago!). As a result, we will play at level 7 in our own area, with Charlie's dancers supporting us. No dangerous Maoris there!

One thing to notice: a good drummer sounds like he's ahead of the beat, without speeding though.
Forget the cheesy parts, the groove is awesome

Reds game this Friday the 13th!

This Friday, we'll have another performance at the Reds and I hope we can build on last time to make it even more fun.
