Gear and goodbye.

Hi sambistas,
I'm currently gearing up to head off to the northern hemisphere (aswell!) as my studies are coming to a close. I will aim to make it this Thursday night to catch you all.

To save on shipping costs I'm selling some of my samba gear (if you're interested, give us a shout):

Thanks for all you've taught me (especially you Remko!) and all the exciting gigs. My favourite would have to be walking George Street with the samba dancers for the Walk against Racism or at the Multicultural fest with Denis' solos. Good times! I look forward to coming along to rehearsal next time I visit Brisbane. Cheers!

All - I have been unwell for the past couple of days and pretty sure I won't have recovered enough by tomorrow night, so I unfortunately have to cancel the class this week.

Christmas break & Paul C's farewell

I can't believe it, but the year is almost over and it's time for a little break while we all enjoy Christmas and other barbecues.

The last rehearsal will be on Thursday 8 December. As always, we'll make the last one pretty relaxed, bring some food if you want to, etc. etc. Also, this will be the very last time for Paul C before he heads over to Sweden (why O why I still don't understand).

First rehearsal of 2012 will be Thursday 19 January!

PS: there's a slight chance we'll have a small gig before Christmas - stay tuned!

I´m back in Oz for a few months on holidays/family time and would loooove to come back and catch up with you guys, and play a little samba! Is there a spare repique lying around for me to play? When are you breaking for the Christmas period?
