My (not so happy) Big Mash Meal

Since I've had braces, my colleagues at work always poke fun at me when I'm eating a burger. You can't bite into anything when you have braces, so you have to chop it up with knife and fork and eat it like you're in some high upper class restaurant. Not the Aussie way, according to my colleagues.

Since the operation, I can't chew anything, and after a lot of soup I felt like something different. Nicki had already successfully used the blender to mash up things like nasi goreng and pasta, so today when I felt like a burger I thought it was time for a little experiment.

Almost there now...

Ordering took some time, as I am not really that clear with my jaws held together with elastic bands. And that's on top of my Dutch accent!

I paid the lady and received my change

Then I collected my meal from the friendly staff

This is what it looked like before, with the tool of choice visible in the background...

The fries ready to be mashed

And this is what mashed fries look like!

A Big Mac...

... and a Big Mash!

The whole Big Mash Meal fully prepared.

Here we go!

I have to admit that a Big Mac meal is certainly not my favourite food, and it's some time since I had one. But this was definitely worse...

I'll try a Chicken Vindaloo tomorrow!

Come on Remko! You could have been a bit more professional, or how would I put it? More ABSOLUTE in your food art...

You forgot to add the Coke with the solids in the blender to make it drinkable through a straw...

For fuck sake, chips need to go in at the same time as the Coke!! then mix, then add the burger and some extra tomato sauce!! Bloody hell, how do you think you gonna get your citizenship?

And, of course, if you like sweet and sour, don't forget to blend the Chocolate Sunday as well!!!

I say, you need to try again and take pictures.. No, no, film it so we can hear the sound of the mixture going through the straw!!

No kidding, I feel sorry for you...

The Robillot family wishes you a prompt recovery (but I would strongly advise to switch to coconut based cocktails for your nutrition until you get better)

Good luck!

So lets get this straight you got mashed up meat from potentialy up to 100 animals (thats what analysis says is typically traceably in a McBurger, then mashed it up again! Gordon Ransey would be proud of you. I recommend the choclate shake, liquidized with a cheese burger, garnished with an apple pie and of course you can now add the heady delights of a cream cake from McCafe. Truely astronautical in its nastyness!

Ugh that looked pretty gross, but quite similar to American scrambled eggs on the left, and Chinese San Choy Bow on the right (minus the lettuce leaves). That would have been the tastier option.
