At tomorrow's rehearsal, I'll shout "beschuit met muisjes" to celebrate Ruben's arrival! This is an ancient dutch tradition that I'll honour during a Brazilian Samba class, in Australia. A world first, I'm sure!
Hope to see you there!

That wikipedia link is great - especially where it says
pronunciation: “bə'sxœyt mЄt 'mœyςəs”
That in itself will do wonders for Dutch culture the world over.
Remko, it would have been more honest of you if you also informed the Samba school that the tradition subsequently requires the whole group to lift up the new father, put his head in a toilet bowl, flush four (not three) times, then allow him to dry off with toilet-paper, after which he buys everyone a drink (and wonders out loud whether being a dad will always be this hard)
Show me the wikipedia link to THAT!
hehehe
Fairy bread!? Woo hoo!!! Hundreds and thousands: food for kids the world over.
I like Marcel's interpretation of the "Beschuit met muisjes" better than wikipedia.
Ooops - sorry guys, I left the goodies in Nicki's car - it will have to wait till next week.
