Major event coming up

Here's a very early heads up about an event we might be involved in on Sunday 12 July.

For confidentiality reasons I am not able to say anything more at this stage, but if it all goes ahead this might be the biggest thing we've ever done.

If you think you may want to be part of this, please keep this date available.

More details next week, after the press release has gone out... ;-)

Are you going to tell us what it is? I want to see if your estimate of '5 times bigger than anything we've ever done'is accurate. ;-)

Remko said...

Yes I will tell you, unfortunately the Press Release has been delayed, last I heard is it will be today but don't hold your breath...

My estimate is a very conservative estimate.... ;-)

It's the Queen, isn't it? We're playing for the Queen. Maybe K.Rudd. Are we playing in space? The first samba tunes to be broadcast into space. I don't mind being second to the Beatles. NAIDOC week is that week but we aren't Indigenous. Hmmmm. A samba jamboree perhaps? Is Home and Away having a samba sub plot involving a rogue Brazilian surfer with his own live soundtrack (cue brisamba)? These all seem feasible...

Brian is always playing in space...

Marcel said...

ooh, do tell us, Remko!

I just received $900 from K-rudd to stimulate your economy (honest - no lie!), maybe I should fly in for this!!

Remko said...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! That is hilarious!

Remko said...

Actually Marcel, as K-Rudd didn't deem it necessary for me to stimulate the Australian economy even further, I'd be pleased to spend your $900 on your behalf. Alternatively, you can buy the complete "Nijntje" series in Amsterdam and ship to Ruben!

Marcel said...

well, I don't think $900 would cover the *complete* series, but I'd be happy to ship you some!
(My favourite was the XXX-version: Nijntje maakt een wip!)

And relax, Remko, they go by postcode (honestly!) If you receive mail regularly, you will also receive the bonus, one day... Of course, it might be that teh crisis is already over by then

Patty said...

If they go by postcode, Marcel, how come David has got his, but I haven't got man, Mr Smartypants?????

Patty said...

And THAT'S THE REASON YOU SHOULD READ YOUR POST FIRST!!!!! Marcel can still beat me, even from across the world. I'm now off to kill myself.

Marcel said...

Oh come one, Patty - killing would be far too harsh on yourself! How 'bout some public humiliation?

muoahahahha!

. . . . I bet we'll be on " Australia Got Talent " wearing the garish Mangueira shirts in front of 3 million TV audience. . . . '5 times bigger than anything we've ever done' alright ! .

Just put in my $2.70 bet with TAB . I'd say 3 : 1 chance, any taker ?

OK the press release has gone out today, see next post... :-)
