Surdo Choreography

Remko, Can we - all surdo players - practice the choreography similar to the videoclip linked below ?

Olodum
Olodum Alternative

It shows fearless commitment and dedication to the bloco. Will send shiver to the Roar's opponent.

Or better yet - How about fearless dedication and commitment to the neck muscles and spine??? :) :)

I regret to say my belly is too big and won't allow me to bend far enough to head butt a surdo

Yeah but, yeah but, Darren, have a look at Olodum on Youtube and you'll see them lifting the surdo in the air with one hand and playing with the other. I dare ya! :)

Darren, Head butt a surdo is difficult, I agree. If you go back to the post, click the link " Olodum alternative" and see what you think.

It's a bit gay but, personally, I prefer that over head butting. All surdo players should adopt that .

Brian there's a goat on your back.

On a different note, would you really like us to hide all surdos under a table cloth????

i am keen to give the "heading" of the drum a go..............

Is he playing a repanique in one hand and a surdo with the other? The table cloths would spoil the fun. The rewards for carrying the heavy surdo is to make the big deep boom. haha
