Guys,
Hope you're all safe and dry, it's crazy weather. Here in the Gap I'm high and dry, hope you're all in a similar position.
Just looking at the Cambell Newman press conference, Thursday the river is going up at least 4.2 meters! Milton is on the list of flooded areas.
So, in the interest of everyone's safety, I'm cancelling this Thursday's Samba class!
Please look after yourselves!
Remko

What?? No Kransky??
:-)
Sorry to deprive you of your weekly dose of nutritious goodness...
Just hope that everyone is safe and sound.
For those that wonder about Gail, I just spoke with her. She has left her house and is safe, staying with her dad. She has water going under her house, hoping it won't rise to the living room level. I have offered her all the help she needs.
I'm glad to hear Gail's safe with her Dad. Crossing my fingers that the water doesn't get any higher and that her home will be OK. I'm thinking of her. As for us, we're dry, but a bit worried about tomorrow, when the high tide and the river peak coincide. The sea was roaring the other night!
I'm...well, not high but dry also. Remko, I'll see you at Gail's for the clean up should she need it.
I'm concerned, her dad is very good at scrabble !
hi all. Siobhann and i have been watching the river nearby with interest, but we are also safe. Please let me know about the clean up for gaile and i'll be there. Stay safe everyone.
Yes, if Gail wants help with a cleanup, I'm happy to help. Down here on the mudflats we now have extra landscaping items - car wheels, whole trees, lounge chairs. :)
I SMS-ed Gail the offer of help from people here.
Here's her reply: "Tell them I said thanks. Every one's kindness cast a veil of tears over me. The house went completely under".
Oh No ! It's worst than I expected .
Remko, I know you will, but can you please give details for the clean up on the blog.
