Well done everyone, that was quite a performance tonight. I think all our hard work has paid off, this is absolutely what I have been dreaming about for many many years.
You were all gone before I could blink, so I didn't have the opportunity to thank and congratulate you all then and there, so this post will have to do.
I look forward to the photos and will see if we can get a copy of the video too!

Finally, it was great to see an 18-strong bateria tonight. I'd like to do many more songs like this, with interesting arrangements and breaks to keep everyone on their toes each Thursday. I can only do that if you all keep coming to as many rehearsals as possible, so I hope to see you all (almost) every week. That will also motivate me to keep working on new arrangements.
So thank you all once more!

I have two great HD videoclips of the two songs kindly made by Celina - Darren's wife. Unfortunately they're too big a file @ 10GB all up and will be difficult to share online.
If Remko can bring his laptop on thursday, I can download the two acts for you all to see. ... Celina got a front row shot of us, the dancers, and a few audience dancing as well. Well done, Celina.

I think the bateria sounded really impressive. Funniest thing from my perspective in the back row, from halfway through the second song onwards, I couldn't see you, as you had completely disappeared behind a wall of feathers! :) I just guessed *someone* in the surdos could see you, and followed along.
The feathers must have been more pleasant to look anyway!
