costume call

Hello costumers,

I have to get some pants made for a dance performance. Can anyone recommend a costume maker?

While I welcome comical responses, this is a serious blog, so could someone please give me a lead?

Thanks,
Paul

Do you need to have them made? Is there somewhere that you could possibly buy them?

Quite possibly. But I don't know where to shop for white pants that go swish when you dance. We need seven pairs for a group performance.

Sounds like Ye Olde White Polyester Pants Shoppe is for you

Hmmm, white pants that go 'swish', ehh? What about capoeira pants? Or maybe just find a a pattern and a tailor...could possibly be tax deductible for Angelo.

Maybe just showing your white legs is a cheaper option?

make sure you do shave your legs, Paul. Or wax them, of course.

Regarding " white pants that go 'swish'", Paul, have you try karate pants ?

I know that you can buy a certain karate gear that will go " SWISH " and " KABOOM " when you kick or punch. I believe my old instructor was wearing one. Quite impressive.

Thanks Brian,
Actually I do own karate pants, and I can say with a fair degree of experience that they don't go 'swish', they go 'snap', as do the sleeves. It takes years of practice to make them do that, and it's a great feeling when it finally happens. I want pants that swish, which is a much more flowing, fluid movement than a snap.
Come to think of it, maybe the old samba school costume pants might be the go! Remko, did you get these from Ye Olde White Polyester Pants Shoppe?
