For those of us who missed Olodum in Bahia, and for all of you who haven't made it to Brazil yet, here's a second chance to see Olodum!
Olodum, the legendary samba-reggae group from Salvador, Bahia, will be touring in Australia and will perform at QPAC on Tuesday 18 March 2008, at 8pm.
I really recommend all of the samba school to attend this performance. Not only will it be a great gig, we also will be able to get some ideas for new breaks, choreography, and costumes. Tickets are not cheap but it's a lot cheaper than actually going to Brazil! There's two ticket prices, $128 for front section, $102 for back section. My strong preference is the front section, and I hope you all agree.
I've set up a register for this event, let's get tickets together. Please register before Tuesday 20 November, or if you really can't do this send me an email. I volunteer to buy the tickets on our behalf, and you can reimburse me later.

Oh. My. God. I'm IN (on the blog I mean). and IN for the concert (plus Davie) But when I click on the "register" button there's a problem. Good grief. Can Olodum give us a workshop maybe?
Make that DavID. Does he look like a Davie to you? Nuh, me neither.
hi Remko, i'm keen on the gig but still can't register on-line as my gmail password is not being recognised - have you reset it somewhere along the way ? it doesn't even let me access for a reset myself! may have to set up new username maybe ... art

Art,
your Gmail password is for the blog only. The registration website is completely separate from that - it could even be a different username (and password)
Hey Shakerdiva,
If you keep skipping samba classes to go out shopping, you'll never learn to log on!
Yeah but, no but, yeah but, I wasn't even GOING to go shopping. I was going to stay with my mother and help her out after her medical treatment, and she sent me away!! waaaah! So what else could I do?
